Kundalini Yoga, The Awakening

The oldest and most powerful yoga known to mankind is called Kundalini Yoga. It is so powerful that it's called the mother of all Yoga. For example if Kundalini Yoga would have been an umbrella, all other type of yoga would fit underneath it. This kind of yoga awakens the bottom of our spinal column which is also identified as the Muladhara Chakra.

Kundalini comes from the word "kunda" which means “pot”. Kundalini Sadhna is explained to be the coiled energy that resembles a snake which has 3 1/2 spirals that are nesting at the bottom end of the spinal column. These 3 coils in Kundalini Yoga are identified as the 3 Gunas which are the Tamas, Sattva and Rajas. The smaller one or the VIkritis denote the half spiral.

To help visualize the location of these coils, the Kundalini is found in the lower region of our body called the perineum. On the men, it is found between the rectum and the testicles. As for the women, it is located in between the vagina and the clitoris.

Kundalini Yoga is also very well recognized as the sign of power and equality for both male and female. The female power is known to be Sakti and Siva is for the man. They develop into the fundamental supply of energy and power when they are unified. The union of Sakti and Siva happens within the brain which gives us the sensation of affection, energy, love and feeling. Meaning that Kundalini Yoga is actually pretty awesome in order to help do away with the feeling of grief, anxiety, rage and jealousy.

Kundalini Yoga compensate Yogis that preserve unity consciousness and divine change. When it is awakened, Kundalini makes a hissing noise. It sounds exactly like a beaten snake when it travels from "Brahma Nadi" the to the "Muladhara Chakra" and to the "Sahasrara Chakra".
